SPOLIER: Urban legends portrayed in this movie (most false): - While it's well documented people have shown up in hospital emergency rooms with various bizarre objects lodged in their rectums (like a little girl's doll as in this movie), the doctor's remark about earlier finding live animals lodged in some patient's rectum is pure folklore. - Medical students go to bar, find out that one of their female classmates is working as a stripper to pay her way through medical school. - Students in a biology class are asked to take saliva swabs from their mouths and examine them under microscopes. One female student's swab reveals the presence of sperm from giving oral sex just before class. - The doctor's remark that the hospital administrator would harvest his kidneys while he's asleep and sell them to Indonesia. - Inattentive cleaning lady caused death every Friday when she unplugged patients' life support systems to plug in her floor polisher. - Woman having sex with guy she just met in waiting room. Doctor comes in and informs the couple the woman just tested positive for several STDs. - Cadavers used in medical colleges were formerly homeless people or unclaimed bodies. - The exploding colostomy bag. - a mature woman can't figure out why how she became pregnant because she's too naive about what the sexual act is.

Excellent! If You Like Scrubs You Will Love "Intern Academy"!

It's good to see that great Canadian comedy movies can still be made! Dave Thomas of SCTV fame has written a great modern comedy here. If you like the T.V. show "Scrubs" (and most people do) then you will love "Intern Academy" too.

This movie is kind of a cross between the Police Academy movies (in a good way), National Lampoon's movies and of course "Scrubs".

Some of the scenes are more adult oriented but this movie will have you laughing and more than once. This is definitely the best Canadian comedy of the year. I have also seen "Ham and Cheese" (awful despite scenes with Dave Foley and Scott Thompson) and this movie is so much better.

"Intern Academy" also has a lot of recognizable Canadian actors and comedy performers who all turn in good performances.
