Ricky's back!

Last film in the series to deal with the killer Santa Clause story, has RICKY, the killer of the previous entry, awakening from a coma, six years after he had half his head blown off in a shootout, in order to stalk & kill a psychic girls family & friends at a small cottage on Christmas Eve. Third film has touches of science fiction & the supernatural to elevate it out of being just another dumb slasher movie. Ricky although still a killer, is also a victim in this one & the film does not have him dressing up a Santa suit & swinging an ax like the last time. The gore of the previous two is absent in this one. The acting & storyline was well made & the score by STEVEN SOLES was good. ROBERT CULP plays a detective whom sets to hunt down the killer, tagging along with him is the girls sneaky doctor whom wants to save Ricky or his "experement" as he calls it. Two more sequels followed after this one, but they had no connection with the first three & were only set under the Silent Night Deadly Night banner in order to squeeze whatever life there was left in the series to make a quick buck.
